Inventory under control

Food truck inventory management without spreadsheet chaos

When two people maintain the same spreadsheet and nobody records quantities after an event, inventory becomes a guess. Mobistro shows what you have, where it is and what is running low.

For teams whose spreadsheet no longer matches the truck

The inventory area is built for food trucks and mobile catering teams managing consumables, equipment and multiple storage locations. Existing spreadsheets can be imported by CSV instead of entered again by hand.

From day-to-day operations

A spreadsheet does not know what is inside the vehicle

  • Two people edit different versions of the same file.
  • Updates are postponed after an event until the figures are no longer useful.
  • “I thought we still had enough” becomes clear only during loading.
  • Equipment and consumables share one list even though they need different handling.

From spreadsheet snapshot to dependable overview

Mobistro separates item types, highlights shortages and brings existing data in through a controlled import.

Consumables and equipment separated

Disposable gloves are managed differently from a griddle or canopy without requiring two systems.

Minimum levels with clear status

Good, low and critical show where action is needed before an item reaches zero.

Mapped CSV import

Existing spreadsheet data is imported by CSV, with every column reviewed and mapped before anything is accepted.

Search, categories and locations

Items remain easy to find as the range grows and can be assigned to the operation, a storage area or a vehicle.

Inventory at the moments when it matters

  1. 01

    Before purchasing

Critical items appear together instead of being found manually inside a complete spreadsheet.

  2. 02

    During loading

Vehicle inventory shows what is already traveling and what still needs to come from storage.

  3. 03

    After the event

Consumption is recorded where it happens rather than reconstructed several days later.

  4. 04

    When leaving Excel behind

The existing file is imported, reviewed column by column and only then accepted.

A clear boundary

Inventory management without an ERP monster

Mobistro is not accounting software and does not replace POS reporting. It focuses on the operational inventory your team needs for preparation, vehicles and events.

Frequently asked questions

Can I import my Excel spreadsheet?

Yes. Save it as a CSV file and map the existing columns to the Mobistro fields before import.

What is the difference between consumables and equipment?

Consumables are regularly used up. Equipment remains in service, can be assigned to a location or vehicle and can be checked for damage.

Can I see what is still inside the vehicle?

Yes. Inventory can be viewed by storage location and vehicle, so the truck does not become an unknown secondary store.

Will Mobistro warn me before something runs out?

Minimum levels and status signals make low and critical quantities visible before an item reaches zero.

Do I have to update everything manually after every event?

Consumption still needs to be recorded, but within the operating workflow rather than later in a separate spreadsheet. Further automation is being tested with beta operators.

Inventory should support a decision, not start a debate.
